U.S's Current Energy Status
The United States current energy status is produced mainly by coal, natural gas and nuclear power to produce the electricity we use. So out of the three main sources to produce energy we use coal the most. The approximate amount of energy we produce from these three sources are 39% for coal, 27% for natural gas and 19% for nuclear power. As I said before we mainly use these sources for producing electricity. What we can do to subsidize the use of some of these sources is to promote better ways of energy that is cleaner for our environment. Also sources of energy that can help would be energy produced by wind and water.
What We Use That Can Stay |
Other Energy Options |
Sources of energy that we use can we can and should continue to use are nuclear power, hydropower, and other renewable resources such as biomass, geothermal, solar, and wind. The reason we should keep continueing the use of these energy sources is because there clean and unlimited. There are also sources of energy that we should just stop using because they are not clean and unlimited. Some of these sources we should stop using consists of coal, natural gas, and petroleum.
|
Other energy option as I have stated before are renewable and inexhaustible resources. The only problem with some of these sources is that there costly which is the down fall where our fossil fuels that we use are really cheap. So putting aside the costs of the sources we should look towards more renewable ways of energy and ignore the cheap and easy energy sources that pollute our world and country.

What to do to Promote a Better Energy Status
So
to promote a better energy status for the U.S. we should decrease the
use of fossil fuels and any other source of energy that is harmful to
our environment and hopefully in the future we can stop the use of
them permanently. Also ways to decrease the use of these pollutant
energy sources is to put a huge increase of taxes on who ever uses
them for energy. I know we can make this work it just takes time and
effort to get there but eventually we will make it.
